BSc in Chemical Engineering of the Polytechnic School of Dordrecht. MSc in Chemical Engineering of the Technical University of Eindhoven. PhD in Applied Physics of the Technical University of Delft. Worked for 13 years at the Technical University of Delft as associate professor. Employed by Unilever Research Laboratories in Vlaardingen for 16 years. Worked there as programme manager and later as senior scientist on future washing systems. Nowadays professor at the University of Twente leading the research group on Engineering of Smart Fibrous Materials.
