After his studies in textile technology and chemistry in the Netherlands, he was active in the Dutch Textile Industry, as well as in the development of dyestuffs and bleaching agents in this branche, before he joined the Unilever company. His activities within Unilever were mainly concentrated on the developing of new products and application systems for industrial textile cleaning systems as well as for commercial and institutional laundries and the dry cleaning industry. Besides these activities he stayed at the former Britisch Launderers Research Association in the UK. Since approximately 10 years, he is active as a consultant for Jensen GmbH at Harsum
